250 Years Through the Eyes of Contemporary Artists

In 2026, America marks 250 years- a milestone that invites reflection not only on where we have been, but on the many stories, landscapes, and experiences that continue to shape who we are today.

History is often remembered through dates, events, and familiar symbols, but it is also built through individual perspectives- the places we call home, the memories we carry, the communities we create, and the moments that define our lives.

This July, Create Gallery & Frames presents American Perspective, a juried group exhibition exploring identity, land, movement, history, and contemporary life in America through art.

Rather than focusing solely on traditional patriotic imagery, American Perspective invites artists to look beyond symbols and explore something more personal: What does America look like through different eyes? How do our experiences shape the way we see the world around us?

More Than One American Story

The beauty of art is that no two perspectives are exactly alike.

Through photography, painting, mixed media, and other creative approaches, the artists featured in American Perspective each bring their own interpretation of place, memory, identity, and experience.

Some works capture the beauty and vastness of the American landscape. Others reflect personal journeys, moments of change, connection, and the complexity of life within an ever-evolving country.

Together, these pieces create a conversation- not one single definition of America, but many perspectives existing side by side.
