Through the Lens of Jaymz Maurer:
Five Moments That Inspire Me

At Create Gallery and Frames, we’re proud to feature the work of photographer Jaymz Maurer, whose eye for detail and perspective turns ordinary moments into something extraordinary. His photography captures the beauty in structures, light, and the calm that often hides in busy spaces.

When asked about what inspires him, Jaymz put it simply:

“Photography has always been about capturing the world as I see it. I don’t always have a lot of words, but I hope the images speak for themselves. Each photo is a way of freezing a moment that feels meaningful- sometimes quiet, sometimes bold, but always honest.”

He then shared five types of moments that continue to inspire his photography:

1. Bridges at Golden Hour- Bridging the Day’s End

“There’s something about a bridge at sunset- the way light reflects off the structure, the sky shifting in color, and the quiet moment before the city lights take over.”

2. Unexpected Perspectives- Framed by Nature

“I like finding angles that people don’t usually stop to notice. A slight shift in where you stand can completely change the way a landmark feels.”

3. The Calm in Busy Places- Anchored in Time

“Even in places filled with people and movement, there are still moments of stillness if you look closely.”

4. Light & Shadow- Ascent to Silence

“Photography, at its core, is about light. The way shadows fall or light cuts across a scene keeps me searching and excited for the next shot.”

5. Travel & Discovery- The Forgotten Underpass

“Whenever I travel, I look for what makes a place unique...not just the big landmarks, but the smaller details that give it character.”
